A global, AI-forward learning institution

Education
without gates.

Atlas is building a 100% online path to serious religious education—open to every tradition, available by cellphone, and designed for learners everywhere.

01 / WHY ATLAS EXISTS

Move beyond religion.
Toward relationship.

Atlas University helps people examine inherited religion honestly and develop a mature relationship with their Creator. We welcome Christians, Jews, Muslims, people of every other tradition, and people with no religious affiliation. Our shared commitments are intellectual honesty, freedom of conscience, disciplined inquiry, human dignity, and service.

02 / THE ATLAS VALUES

A school built for
human possibility.

Technology expands access. Standards preserve meaning. Relationship gives learning a purpose.
01

Access without geography

A learner should not need wealth, relocation, or a campus to begin. Atlas is designed for global, mobile-first study.

02

Truth over conformity

Students test claims, study primary sources, name uncertainty, and change their minds when evidence or conscience requires it.

03

Relationship over performance

We move beyond religious performance and toward honest relationship with the Creator, self, others, and the living world.

04

Welcome across traditions

Every religion—and no religion—is welcome. Difference invites listening, comparison, and understanding.

05

AI with human judgment

AI is encouraged for explanation, translation, exploration, and idea development. Students remain responsible for truth and attribution.

06

Mastery, not seat time

Credentials represent sustained work, revision, defense, ethical practice, and meaningful contribution.

07

Education as a public good

The planned bachelor’s carries no tuition because college education should be available beyond the boundaries of income.

08

Contribution over prestige

Learning reaches maturity through teaching, writing, community work, scholarship, and institutions that help others.

03 / INTERACTIVE LEARNING LAB

Learn how Atlas
approaches theology.

Choose a lens to see how religious deconstruction becomes rigorous, constructive study.
01Atlas learning lens

What does deconstruction mean at Atlas?

Deconstruction is disciplined examination, not destruction. Students identify assumptions, compare inherited claims with primary sources, and distinguish faith from fear, culture, habit, and institutional pressure.

Try the practiceMap one inherited belief. Name its source, its fruit, and the strongest alternative reading.
Inquiry → evidence → reflection → relationship → contribution

04 / PROPOSED RELIGIOUS DEGREES

Two pathways.
Standards that matter.

Both programs are planned as fully online religious degrees. Final availability depends on institutional and regulatory readiness.

PhD
PROPOSED TERMINAL RELIGIOUS DEGREE

Doctor of Philosophy
in Theology

A doctorate of consequential theological contribution

For mature scholar-practitioners whose body of work demonstrates meaningful theological effectiveness—not simply time spent in a program.

  • Five substantial books published and accepted for review
  • Evidence of meaningful theological effectiveness
  • Integrated scholarly and public-impact portfolio
  • Rigorous examination and oral defense
  • Independent review and final institutional approval
No automatic award · Not yet enrolling

Publication is a threshold, not a guarantee. Five books alone do not earn the doctorate; the complete body of work must meet published standards for originality, rigor, coherence, ethical practice, and demonstrated theological contribution.

Atlas intends to develop online K–12 learning grounded in curiosity, literacy, reasoning, creativity, and responsible AI use.
SEPARATE FUTURE INITIATIVE

K–12 for a world of questions

The K–12 initiative is in planning and is not currently enrolling. It will operate under separate governance, safeguarding, curriculum, and legal review appropriate to elementary and secondary education; it is not presented as part of the pending Missouri postsecondary religious-school exemption.

08 / THE ATLAS LIBRARY

Follow the questions.

The Atlas University Library gathers the institution’s growing body of books. Amazon maintains the current titles, editions, formats, prices, and availability.

09 / INSTITUTIONAL CLARITY

Open ambition.
Precise claims.

A regulator-facing statement of what Atlas proposes and what it does not yet claim.
01

Application pending

Atlas is preparing an application for a Missouri religious-school exemption. No exemption, authorization, accreditation, approval, or state endorsement is presently claimed.

02

Enrollment not open

Atlas is not currently enrolling Missouri degree students or collecting degree tuition through this website.

03

Religious degree scope

The proposed postsecondary awards are religiously designated in title, curriculum, and purpose—not secular professional or occupational degrees.

04

Open without being secular

Learners of every religion and no religion are welcome. This does not change the institution’s bona fide religious identity or the religious purpose of its proposed awards.

05

No accreditation claim

Atlas is not currently accredited by an accreditor recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA. Exemption, if granted, would not be accreditation.

06

Recognition and licensure

Atlas does not promise transfer, employer acceptance, professional licensure, or public financial-aid eligibility. Each receiving body decides recognition.
